Be the community survivors can count on. Give today.
We like to think we know. We would see the signs. We would do something. But abuse rarely looks the way we expect.
You may not always be able to recognize abuse. But you can help make sure that when someone is ready to reach out, there is a community ready to meet them.
Why Compass Center?
"Compass Center provided kind compassion through my fear." – Jordan
"Just knowing I am not alone and that you guys really care means so much to me." –Taylor
For many, Compass Center is the first place where someone truly listens. Compass Center is where survivors find people who show up when the people closest to them couldn’t or wouldn’t – a steady voice on the crisis line, an advocate by their side at court, a support group where they could finally felt like they were no longer alone.
As the only organization in Orange County providing this full range of services for survivors of domestic violence, Compass Center relies on the support of the community to sustain this work.
Your Impact
In the past year, thanks to your support, Compass Center:
- Served over 1,770 survivors in our community
- Answered more than 3,000 crisis calls
- Stood beside survivors in domestic violence court more than 400 times
- Sheltered 8 adults and 10 children through Safe Homes, while connecting hundreds more to emergency hotel placements and other shelter options
- Held support groups where survivors found connection, understanding, and a path forward
Each number represents a person – a neighbor, a coworker, a family member, a friend. A life impacted because you ensured help was there.
Your Gift Strengthens Our Community
Your donation today helps us reach our goal of $120,000 and ensures that the next survivor who reaches out finds support waiting for them:
- $50 – Transportation so a survivor can get safely to and from court
- $150 – One night of hotel and food for a fleeing parent and child
- $500 – New locks or security cameras when a survivor feels unsafe at home
- $1,000 – A six-week support group where survivors can connect and begin to heal
- $3,000 – Overnight and weekend crisis line support for a full month
- $5,000 – A month of rent and utilities for all three Safe Homes apartments
Why Your Support Matters Now
Right now, that sense of community is more important than ever.
Government funding for victim services is uncertain, but the need for support continues to grow. Your generosity helps keep crisis lines open, advocates present in courtrooms, and safe housing available for survivors who have nowhere else to turn.
"I feel empowered! I want to be heard & with you on my side, I have faith and believe I will be heard & they will believe it to be true. Thank you."
“With you on my side.” That’s what your support means.
Not support from a distance – but real community, close and steady, when it matters most.
